Connect to data drive
To connect to the group data drive from anywhere in the world, you just need to do a few steps:
1) Go to https://people.chem.umass.edu/wiki/index.php?title=VPN and download the Tunnelblick client that fits your OS. Follow the instructions on that page (simple) for installation and setup.
2) Be sure you are all set up with an LDAP account through the Chemistry Department.
3) Connect to the Chem VPN by running Tunnelblick and connecting to openvpn.
4) Once connected to the VPN, connect to the drive (for MacOS, go to Finder -> Go -> Connect to server and put in smb://chambersgfs.priv.chem.cns/chamberslab) (for Windows type \\chambersgfs.priv.chem.cns\chamberslab in the file explorer address bar or map the server to a drive.)
5) In the login window, enter your LDAP username and password.
6) Enjoy data analysis in the privacy of your own home!
7) Create a directory for yourself.
Please deposit posters, talks, manuscripts, etc. from the group in the “group stuff” folder so that we can all share the templates.
